Berbay Marketing & PR has been dedicated to the community since 1995. Throughout our firm’s history, we have made meaningful contributions through community outreach and volunteer initiatives. A few organizations we are proud to support include the Make-A-Wish Foundation, ALS Association, The Burrito Project, Toys for Tots, Urban Compass, Red Cross, and Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation.
Megan Braverman, Principal of Berbay Marketing & PR, is a dedicated community advocate. For more than five years, she volunteered with School on Wheels, a non-profit organization that supports and works with thousands of students in Southern California. Megan tutored young children at the Salvation Army in Los Angeles, a halfway home for families. She believes education is invaluable to a person’s life, and School on Wheels provides educational opportunities to those experiencing homelessness to close the gap in their learning due to circumstances.
Megan also served as Co-Chair of the Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles’ Ben-Gurion Society (BGS). The BGS was a group of young leaders within the Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles, an organization that seeks to foster a thriving local Jewish community through civic engagement, helping care for those in need and working to ensure the Jewish future. As Co-Chair for several years, Megan helped create a vision for the group, led BGS executive committee meetings, planned group-sponsored events, participated in national leadership conferences, and recruited and developed potential BGS members.
Administrative Manager Kristin Anderson has been deeply involved in charitable activities for many years. Inspired by personal experiences with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease), she has raised money for the ALS Association in honor of her mother, brother and other beloved relatives affected by this devastating disease.
Throughout the years, Kristin has dedicated her time volunteering at the Beacon House in San Pedro, where she joyfully served meals to members on holidays, fostering a sense of community and warmth for those in need.
Account Director Aly Crea joined the editorial committee for Strategies & Voices magazine, the publication of the Legal Marketing Association (LMA). Content published on Strategies & Voices is led through a collaborative effort between LMA staff and the Strategies Editorial Board. During her three-year term, the editorial committee determined, supervised and facilitated the content of LMA’s online content center as well as the accompanying podcast, Strategies LIVE!
Aly has also volunteered with The Burrito Project, an organization focusing on promoting food justice through community programming that serves unhoused and low-income individuals. One ongoing program is distributing vegan burritos in LA. Additionally, Aly has been a fundraiser for Boston Children’s Hospital, participating in the annual citywide bike ride through Boston, known as Hub on Wheels.
Account Manager Angely Levis actively participates in various community service activities. Each year, Angely contributes to Camp Ronald McDonald for Good Times, an organization dedicated to providing a safe and enriching environment for children and families affected by cancer. During the pandemic, Angely volunteered at her church to assist the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank in distributing food to low-income families. She has also supported and donated to Toys for Tots; participated in Spark of Love, a program run by the Los Angeles Fire Department; and participated in the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation’s Starry Night Walk to Cure Childhood Brain Tumors, an event supporting research and family support programs for children with brain cancer. In 2018, Angely took part in an event hosted by Engage for Good, bringing toys and smiles to children in need.
Account Manager Alexa Rome has given back to the community through a variety of organizations. As a graduate of the University of Georgia Bulldogs and a twice-bulldog owner, this squishy-faced four-legged friend is near and dear to her heart. Most recently, Alexa volunteered with Southern CA Bulldog Rescue (SCBR), supporting the organization by helping to walk and bathe dogs and working at an event to educate the public about the importance of animal rescue.
Alexa is also a member of her alumni association and partakes in the annual “Dawg Day of Giving.” Growing up, her parents were actively involved in the Make-A-Wish Foundation, which got her started at a young age working with the organization to fundraise “wishes” for children. Alexa’s early involvement led her to be the president of the Make-A-Wish club in high school, and she has continued to support their efforts through adulthood.
During Alexa’s college years, she was a member of the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. For over 30 years, the Theta sorority has partnered with Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), contributing millions of dollars and countless volunteer hours to help impact the lives of foster children.
Marketing Coordinator Jem Tanner is passionate about keeping natural spaces beautiful and safe. She actively participates in clean-up efforts for local beaches and hiking trails, helping to preserve these areas. Additionally, Jem enjoys singing to elderly residents at local healthcare facilities.
